Creating a planet-loving brand for an online shop


Finding it hard to buy eco-friendly baby and child-care products, medical doctors, Cátia and André, decided to create their own online shop. After being in the market for a while they decided to collaborate with HUSE to create their new brand and communication strategy.

The brief was challenging: how can we translate the ideia of sustainability and ecology to kids and parents in a simple manner? How can we show our customers all the care and love we put into the curation of the products we sell?

After a few creative sessions we narrowed our concept down to one of the simples gestures known to humanity: the kiss. A kiss represents love. The love we have for our children, our parents, our family. And also the love we have for our planet. And when we kiss something we get a simple and unique sound: MUAH.

The logo was inspired by the concept of the stamp as if, every time we kiss our planet, we leave an imprint of that gesture, of that attitude. The colour palette is a mixture of vivid and pastel colours that help create a vibrant and yet soothing graphic universe. And to bring MUAH to life we created a series of little MUAH creatures, little illustrated characters that help the brand engage with its customers and kids.

Jessica Athayde was chosen a a brand ambassador, which helped the brand grain traction on Instagram, having reached almost 10.000 followers. Sales have doubled since the launch of the new brand.
