Creating a refreshing new brand for Águas da Figueira

 
 

 
 

Águas da Figueira, the water supplier for the Figueira da Foz region, set out to proactively show their customers the lengths they go to provide some of the best water services in the country.

With an innovative character, a highly dedicated team and a sustainable attitude, Águas da Figueira’s old image did not reflect these values. HUSE innovation conducted a thorough research process, interviewing employees and clients while looking at best practices around the world. This gave us the information to develop a clear positioning and central concept for the brand, one that revolves around “being thirsty for a better future”.

This inspired us to design the new logo and the brand’s visual universe. We wanted to honor its past, while representing all the elements that make up the brand today and will continue to do so in the future: water molecules, water reservoirs, the transformation of water throughout the urban lifecycle, Figueira da Foz’s landscape with the sun, the sea, the river and its long stretches of sand, and last, but not least, the letter “F” which was part of the old logo and stands for the words “Figueira”, “Foz”, and “Future”. The result was a symbol rich in meaning and also disruptive enough in the sector to demonstrate the innovative character of the company.
